Managing Your Notifications in Eano Pro

Written by Joseph Kibe

Eano Pro can keep everyone in the loop automatically — letting a client know a quote is ready, telling a teammate they’ve been assigned a task, nudging you when a milestone slips. But “everyone gets everything” isn’t what anyone wants. Notification settings let you decide exactly what gets sent, who hears about it, and how — email, text, or a push to their phone.

This article covers where your notification settings live, how the controls work, and who on your team can change them.

The Idea in a Nutshell

Every kind of notification Eano Pro can send has its own row, and every row has its own switches — one for each delivery channel. Turn a notification on or off, choose whether it goes out by email, text, or mobile push, and you’ve shaped what you and your clients hear about. Changes save instantly.

Two Places to Look

Notifications are split into two settings areas depending on who the notification is for:

  • My Account → Account Notifications — the alerts that come to you. This is where you control what you personally get notified about, like a task you’ve been assigned or a milestone running behind.

  • Settings → Notifications — the notifications that go out to your clients and your team. This is where you manage things like the message a client gets when a quote is sent, milestone updates, and quote reminders.

Both areas use the same layout, so once you’ve found your way around one, the other works the same way.

How the Controls Work

Each notification sits on its own row with a name and a short description. To its right are columns for the three ways Eano Pro can deliver it:

  • Email

  • SMS (text message)

  • Mobile Push (a notification on the Eano Pro mobile app)

Flip the main switch to turn a notification on or off, or check and uncheck the individual channels to fine-tune how it’s delivered. Want milestone updates by email but not by text? Turn one column on and the other off. Because the channels are independent, you can mix and match for every notification.

A few notifications are email and text only and won’t show a Mobile Push option — that’s expected, not a glitch.

Your changes save the moment you make them, so there’s no separate save button to hunt for.

Reminders With a Timing Choice

Some rows have an extra dropdown — a Remind me after or Remind clients after option. These are the Smart Reminders: automatic follow-ups for unsigned quotes, overdue tasks, and overdue milestones, where you also choose how long Eano Pro waits before sending. For the full rundown on those, see Smart Reminders for Quotes, Tasks, and Milestones.

Who Can Change Notification Settings

Notification settings are managed by account admins — Owners, Admins, and Finance-role users. If you’re on a different role, you’ll see a “configurable notifications coming soon” message in place of the settings, and your admin controls them on the team’s behalf.

Shaping the Message Itself

The settings above control whether and how a notification is sent. A couple of notes on the content of the messages:

  • Text messages have a fixed, standard wording that can’t be edited, and the “Eano Pro” mention in them stays put. Your control over a text is turning it on or off.

  • Email messages can be customized. Head to Settings → Email Templates to edit the wording of the emails that go out, including the one that delivers a quote.

For more on the client text messages specifically — including what the quote text says — see Turn Off/On SMS notifications to your clients.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

  • Each channel is independent. Turning off a client’s text doesn’t turn off their email or in-app notification — switch off each channel you don’t want separately.

  • Texts need a mobile number. For a client to receive any SMS, Eano Pro needs a valid mobile number on their record.

  • There’s no single master switch. What’s on or off varies by notification and by how your team has things set, so it’s worth opening the page and scanning the columns for the notifications you actually care about.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between Account Notifications and the Settings notifications? My Account → Account Notifications controls what you get alerted about. Settings → Notifications controls what goes out to your clients and team. Same layout, different audience.

Can I send some notifications by text and others by email? Yes. Every notification has its own Email, SMS, and Mobile Push switches, so you can deliver each one however you like.

Why can’t I change the notification settings? They’re managed by account admins (Owners, Admins, and Finance-role users). On other roles you’ll see a “coming soon” message, and your admin sets them for the team.

Can I edit what a notification actually says? Email wording is editable under Settings → Email Templates. Text-message wording is fixed and can’t be changed.

Where do I set reminder timing for quotes, tasks, and milestones? On the reminder’s row, using the Remind me after / Remind clients after dropdown. See Smart Reminders for Quotes, Tasks, and Milestones for the details.
