Some things slip through the cracks not because anyone forgot, but because the day got busy. A quote sits unsigned, a task quietly sails past its due date, a milestone falls behind. Smart Reminders are the gentle nudge that catches those before they turn into problems — automatic notifications that follow up on the work for you, so you’re not the one doing the chasing.
This article covers the three kinds of Smart Reminders, where you set each one, and how to choose their timing.
The Idea in a Nutshell
Smart Reminders watch three things that tend to stall — unsigned quotes, overdue tasks, and overdue milestones — and send a notification when one needs attention. You decide which reminders to turn on, how they’re delivered (email, text, or both), and how long Eano Pro waits before sending. Eano Pro handles the timing from there.
Where Reminders Live
There are two homes for reminders, depending on who the reminder is for:
Client quote reminders are set under Settings → Notifications, since they go out to your clients.
Overdue task and milestone reminders are set under My Account → Account Notifications, since they’re for you and your team.
In both places, each reminder has its own toggle and its own delivery channels, so you can turn on exactly the ones you want.
Client Quote Reminders
When you’ve sent a quote but the client hasn’t signed yet, these reminders prompt them to take another look — so questions get answered and deals close sooner instead of going quiet. A reminder only goes out if the quote is still unsigned when its timer is up.
You can turn on any combination of:
24 hour quote reminders — a nudge a day after the quote goes out.
48 hour quote reminders — a nudge two days out.
Custom quote reminders — pick a single timing that fits your sales rhythm: 3 days, 7 days (the default), 2 weeks, or 1 month.
Each one can be sent by email, text (SMS), or both — just check the channels you want next to the reminder.
Overdue Task Reminders
Tasks keep day-to-day work moving, and these reminders make sure one doesn’t stall unnoticed. Once a task passes its due date, Eano Pro lets the right people know.
Choose a single timing for how long after the due date the reminder fires:
24 hours
48 hours (the default)
7 days
2 weeks
Overdue Milestone Reminders
Milestone reminders do the same for the bigger checkpoints on a project, flagging when one is running behind so it doesn’t drag the schedule with it.
A few things shape how these work:
They’re based on the milestone’s projected completion date. If a milestone doesn’t have a projected completion date set, there’s nothing to measure against, so no reminder is sent.
Everyone added to the project who has the reminder turned on will get it — so the whole team stays aware, not just one person.
The timing choices are the same as overdue tasks: 24 hours, 48 hours (the default), 7 days, or 2 weeks after the projected date passes.
Turning Reminders On
Open Settings → Notifications (for client quote reminders) or My Account → Account Notifications (for overdue task and milestone reminders).
Find the reminder you want and flip its toggle on.
Choose the delivery channels — Email, SMS, or both.
Where there’s a Remind clients after or Remind me after dropdown, pick the timing you want.
Your changes save as you go, so there’s no separate save step.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
You’re in control of what’s on. Reminders are something you switch on deliberately — pick the ones that match how you work and leave the rest off.
Only account admins can change these settings. Owners, Admins, and Finance-role users can configure notifications; other team members see a “coming soon” message in their place.
Quote reminders stop the moment a quote is signed. They only chase quotes that are still open, so a client never gets nudged about something they’ve already approved.
Milestone reminders need a projected completion date. No date, no reminder — so keep your milestone dates current if you want the nudges.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I set up quote reminders versus task and milestone reminders? Client quote reminders live under Settings → Notifications. Overdue task and milestone reminders live under My Account → Account Notifications.
Will a client still get a reminder after they sign? No. Quote reminders only go out while a quote is unsigned — once it’s signed, the reminders stop.
Can I send reminders by text instead of email? Yes. Each reminder has its own Email and SMS channels, so you can use one, the other, or both.
Why isn’t a milestone reminder going out? The most common reason is that the milestone has no projected completion date set — without one, there’s nothing for the reminder to measure against.
I don’t see the notification settings — why? Notification settings are configurable by account admins (Owners, Admins, and Finance-role users). If you’re on another role, you’ll see a “coming soon” message instead.
