You sent the quote, and then… nothing. Your client isn’t saying no. More likely it slid under a pile of other emails and texts, or they meant to look at it and the week got away from them.
Send Reminder gives them a polite tap on the shoulder. One click sends your client a short email and text pointing them back to the quote you already sent. You don’t have to send the quote again or change anything.
Why It Matters
Re-sending the whole quote is a heavy way to say “just checking in”. It delivers a brand-new copy, and if anyone has already signed, it voids those signatures. A reminder leaves the quote just as it is and simply brings it back to the top of your client’s inbox.
It’s also the answer for an initial proposal, which can only be sent once. If your client hasn’t approved it yet, a reminder is how you follow up.
How to Send a Reminder
Open the opportunity. Any tab works.
Hover over Finalize Quote in the top right. A popover opens.
At the bottom of the popover, under Send Manually (beside Download PDF and Copy Link), click Send Reminder.
You’ll see Reminder queued to confirm it’s on its way.
What Your Client Receives
Each client contact on the project gets:
An email with the subject Reminder: Review Your Quote.
A text message (if they have a phone number on file) that reads: “We recently sent you a proposal for the project at [project address] and haven’t heard back. View it here: [link]”, signed with your company name.
These are the same messages Eano sends for automatic quote reminders. The wording is fixed, and you can’t edit it before it goes out.
The link signs your client straight into their portal, where the quote is waiting. They don’t need a password.
When the Button Shows Up
Send Reminder only appears when there’s something to remind your client about:
You’ve already sent the quote or initial proposal. You can’t remind someone about something they haven’t received yet.
It hasn’t been signed. Once the contract is signed, the button disappears.
The opportunity is still in the Contract Sent or Proposal Sent stage, and it isn’t archived.
You haven’t changed the scope since you sent it. If you’ve edited line items, prices, or groups, your client’s copy is out of date. A reminder would point them at the old version, so the button hides. Send the updated quote instead (Finalize Quote, then the send button), and your client is notified as part of that send. If you undo your edits so the scope matches what you sent, the button comes back.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
One reminder per project per day. After you send one, the button turns grey until tomorrow. Hover over it and you’ll see “A reminder has already been sent today. Try again tomorrow.” The day resets at midnight in your company’s time zone. The limit is per project, not per person, so if a teammate already sent today’s reminder, you’ll see the grey button too.
It goes out even if your automatic quote reminders are off. Clicking the button means you want a reminder sent, so it ignores the quote reminder settings in Settings → Notifications. Those settings only control automatic reminders.
Nothing about the quote changes. It doesn’t send a new copy, it doesn’t void signatures, and it doesn’t reset the Quote Viewing Status.
Every client contact on the project gets it. If a bookkeeper or spouse is also on the project as a client, they get the reminder too.
Desktop and web only. The Eano Pro mobile app doesn’t have a Send Reminder button yet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don’t I see Send Reminder? Usually it’s one of three things: the quote hasn’t been sent yet, it’s already signed, or you’ve edited the scope since you sent it. In that last case, send the updated quote instead.
The button is grey. Is something broken? No. A reminder has already gone out for this project today, either from you or a teammate. Try again tomorrow.
Should I send a reminder, or resend the quote? If nothing has changed, send a reminder. It’s lighter, and it leaves any existing signatures alone. If you’ve changed the scope or the price, resend the quote so your client is looking at the current version.
How do I know whether my client has even opened the quote? Look at Quote Viewing Status on the Quotation Logs card at the top of the Scope tab. Viewed by Client means they opened it and are probably still thinking it over, so a reminder is a good next step. Not Viewed by Client after a few days usually means the email or text never reached them. Before you send a reminder, double-check their email and phone number, because a reminder goes to the same place as the original.
Can I send a reminder automatically instead? Yes. Turn on client quote reminders in Settings → Notifications, and Eano will follow up for you on a schedule. See Smart Reminders for Quotes, Tasks, and Milestones.
