A contract that’s sitting there unsigned isn’t a job — it’s a maybe. And the most common reason a contract sits unsigned isn’t that anyone changed their mind. It’s that the request quietly landed in an inbox, got buried under everything else, and nobody realized the ball was in their court.
That’s what the Contracts to Sign panel on your Dashboard is for. It’s a running list of the contracts where you are the next person who needs to sign, with a Sign Now button that takes you straight there.
The Short Version
Open your Dashboard. If there’s a contract waiting on your signature, you’ll see a green Contracts to Sign panel near the top with one row per contract. Click Sign Now and you go directly to the signing screen. You’ll also see a red number badge on Dashboard in the left navigation, so you know something is waiting even when you’re somewhere else in Eano.
If there’s nothing waiting on you, the panel isn’t there at all — and neither is the badge. No news is good news.
What Shows Up in the Panel
This is deliberately narrow. The panel only shows contracts where you personally are the next signer — where nothing can move forward until you sign. That covers two situations:
Your clients have finished signing and the contract is waiting on your countersignature to be complete.
You sign first. If your team sends pre-signed contracts, the contract waits for you before it ever goes out to the client.
Just as important is what doesn’t show up:
Contracts you’ve already sent that are waiting on the client — the ball is in their court, not yours, so there’s nothing here for you to do.
Contracts where someone else on your team is the signer. This is a list of contracts you need to sign, not every open contract at your company.
Contracts that have already been fully signed.
Contracts that can no longer be signed — expired, voided, or declined envelopes. Those need a fresh contract sent, not a signature, so putting them in a “sign this” list would only send you into a dead end.
Projects that have been deleted or archived, or that have moved on past the contract stage.
What Each Row Tells You
Every contract in the panel gives you enough to recognize the job without opening it:
The project name, with the address and the project ID underneath.
A progress bar and a count like 2/3 signed, so you can see how far along the signing is.
When the signing request reached you, plus how long it’s been sitting — 10 days ago, 8 hours ago, 35 minutes ago. That dwell time is the number worth paying attention to.
Hover over the progress bar and you’ll get the full signing timeline: every signer in order, who they are (with your own name tagged You), their email and phone, and the date each person signed. It’s the same timeline you’d find on the project itself.
The list is sorted by how long each contract has been waiting on you, longest wait first. The contract at the top is the one most at risk of going stale.
Signing From the Panel
Two buttons on every row:
Sign Now takes you straight to the signing screen for that contract. Sign it, and it drops off the list — and the badge count goes down with it.
View Project opens the project first, if you’d rather look at the scope, the price, or the client’s details before you put your name on it.
Nothing about signing itself changes. This is a shortcut to the same signing experience you’d reach by digging into the project — you’re just not doing the digging anymore.
The Badge on Dashboard
While there’s a contract waiting on you, Dashboard in the left navigation carries a red badge with the count on it. More than 99 waiting shows as 99+, though if you’re ever there we should probably talk.
The badge can’t be dismissed, and that’s on purpose. It clears when the contract is actually dealt with — when you sign it, or when the contract envelope is cancelled so it can’t be signed anymore. Archiving a project that’s been called off will also take its contract off the list.
On the Mobile App
The panel is on the app’s Home screen too, with the same rules about what appears. Because there’s less room on a phone, each card is trimmed down to what you need to act: the project name and address, when the request came in, how long it’s been waiting, and the Sign Now and View Project buttons. The progress bar, the signed count, and the signer timeline aren’t on the card — tap View Project to see the full signing detail. The app’s Home tab carries the same red badge.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
The panel is personal, not company-wide. Two people on the same team will see different lists, because Eano goes by who’s actually named as a signer on each contract. If a contract you’re expecting isn’t in your panel, check who was set as the signer on that project.
It’s tied to the email on the contract. You’ll see a contract in your panel when the signing request went to the email address on your Eano profile.
Subcontractors don’t see the panel or the badge. They aren’t signers on client contracts, so it would never have anything in it for them.
The panel is not a notification setting. It appears on its own, there’s nothing to turn on, and it doesn’t replace the email you get when a contract is ready — it’s a second, harder-to-miss place for the same information.
An empty Dashboard here is a good sign. If you’re used to seeing the panel and it’s gone, it means nothing is waiting on your signature.
FAQ
I know a contract is out for signature, but it’s not in my panel. Why? Most likely the client hasn’t finished signing yet. Until every client signer ahead of you is done, it isn’t your turn, and the panel only shows contracts where you’re the one holding things up. Open the project and check the signing progress to see who it’s actually waiting on.
A contract I’ve been chasing for months isn’t showing up. Contract envelopes expire. Once one has expired, been voided, or been declined, it can’t be signed — so it’s kept out of the panel rather than handing you a button that leads nowhere. Send a new contract from the project and it’ll come back to you as a fresh signing request.
Can I clear the red badge without signing? No. The badge is meant to be stubborn — that’s the whole point. It goes away when the contract is signed, or when the contract envelope is cancelled so nobody can sign it. If a job is dead and you just want the reminder gone, archiving the project will take it off the list.
Someone else on my team needs to sign, not me. Can I see their list? Not from your Dashboard — each person sees only their own. To see the state of a specific contract, open the project and look at the signing timeline, which shows every signer and who it’s waiting on.
Why does the panel show a project ID? Because job names repeat. “Kitchen Remodel” three times over is a coin flip; the ID and address tell you exactly which one you’re signing.
Does this change how contracts get signed? No. It changes how you find them. Sign Now drops you into the same signing screen you’ve always used, and everything after that — the signed copy saved to the project, the project moving forward — works exactly as before.
