Click Concierge at the top of the left-hand navigation and start typing. Eano searches every project and opportunity you have access to — including archived ones — and takes you straight there.
Why This Beats Hunting Through the Lists
When you remember a job as “the one on Elm Street” but not what stage it’s in, finding it the long way means guessing. Was it still an opportunity, or has it been signed? Did somebody archive it? That’s two screens and a couple of filters before you’ve even started looking.
The search box doesn’t care. It looks across opportunities and projects, archived and active, all at once, and shows you what matched.
Searching
1. Click Concierge. It’s the button at the very top of the left-hand navigation, sitting above Dashboard and the rest of the menu.
2. Make sure you’re on Quick Actions. There are two tabs at the top of the panel — Chat and Quick Actions. Search lives on Quick Actions, and the cursor lands in the search box for you. (The other tab, Chat, is where you ask Eano’s AI to actually build or change something — see Asking Eano to Do It for You: Concierge Chat.)
3. Start typing. Results appear as you go, sorted into two groups:
Existing Opportunities — jobs you haven’t signed a contract on yet
Existing Projects — everything post-contract
Each result shows the project name, the address with its project number, and the client’s name, with the part that matched your text highlighted. Anything archived carries a grey Archived tag.
4. Click the one you want. It opens that job’s page and closes the panel.
Searching Projects Only
If you’d rather not have quick actions mixed in with your results, pick Find a Project or an Opportunity under Existing Work. That switches the panel into a projects-only mode — the placeholder changes to “Search projects or opportunities…” and actions drop out of the results entirely.
Anything you’d already typed is carried across, so switching modes mid-search doesn’t cost you the keyword.
In this mode you always see both groups, even when one of them found nothing — and when a group is empty it offers you the obvious next move, Create New Opportunity or Create New Project. Handy for the moment you go looking for a job and realize nobody ever entered it.
← Back at the top returns you to the full search, keyword intact.
What You Can Search By
You’re not limited to the project name. Any of these will find a job:
Project name
Project address
Project number (the
#number on the row)Client name
Client email or phone number
Tags on the job
The stage it’s in
The name of a teammate assigned to it
Partial words work — typing “chest” finds Chestnut Street — and a small typo usually still lands on the right result.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
Archived work is included on purpose. That’s usually the whole reason you couldn’t find it. The grey Archived tag tells you what you’re opening.
You only ever see what you’re allowed to see. If your account only has access to the jobs you’re assigned to, the search respects that — you won’t turn up projects you can’t open, and a teammate with broader access may see more results than you for the same word.
A broad search shows the strongest matches. Search something very general and you’ll get the most relevant matches per group, with a line telling you how many others also matched. Add a word or two to narrow it down.
The keyboard works throughout. Arrow up and down through the results, Enter to open the highlighted one, Esc to close the panel.
It starts fresh every time. Close the panel and reopen it and the box is empty again — no stale keyword from twenty minutes ago.
Quick actions still search too. In the default mode, typing also filters the list of things you can create, so “invoice” surfaces New Invoice alongside any jobs with “invoice” in their details.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where did the Quick Add button go?
It’s the Quick Actions tab inside Concierge now. All the same shortcuts are there — New Opportunity, New Project, New Invoice, New Expense, New Subcontract, New Task, New Client — grouped the same way, with search added on top.
I know the project exists, but nothing comes up.
Check the spelling of what you typed first, then check whether the job belongs to a different team you’re a member of — search covers the team you’re currently in. If you’re not an admin on your team, you’ll only find jobs you’ve been assigned to; ask whoever runs your account to add you to it.
Can I search from my phone?
Not yet — this one lives in the desktop navigation. On mobile, use the Opportunities and Projects screens.
Which group will my job be in?
Opportunities are everything before a signed contract; Projects are everything after. If you’re not sure which side of that line a job sits on, that’s fine — search both at once and the groups will tell you.
I’m a subcontractor and I don’t have a Concierge button.
That’s expected. Subcontractor accounts see the jobs they’ve been dispatched to directly in their navigation instead.
