The Overview tab is the first thing you see when you open a project or opportunity. It holds the job’s basic details, who has access to it, what’s happened on it lately, and what’s coming up this week.
The Header
The strip across the top stays put on every tab of the job, not just Overview:
Breadcrumb and Project ID. All Projects (or All Opportunities) takes you back to the list, and the Project ID sits beside it.
Ask AI. The button next to the Project ID opens Eano’s AI assistant already working on this job. See Asking Eano to Do It for You: Ask AI.
Name. Click the job’s name to edit it.
Status. The colored badge under the name shows the job’s stage. Click it to move the job to another stage. Badges beside it show things like whether the contract is Signed, along with the job’s tags.
Clients and team. The two rows of avatars on the right are the job’s clients and its assigned team members. Click either one to manage them.
Client Preview. On a signed job, this opens the client’s portal so you can see exactly what they see.
••• menu. Open In New Window, Archive Project, and Delete Project. An archived job shows Unarchive Project here instead.
Collapse. Folds the header down to give you more room to work, and Expand brings it back.
Project Info
The left-hand column starts with a quick finance summary (contracted revenue, what the customer has paid, expenses, and current profit), then the Project Info section:
Project Name and Description. Edit them and click Save Changes.
Address. See “Changing a Job’s Address” below.
Status. The same stage picker as the badge in the header.
Internal Notes. Notes for your team only. Clients never see them. Click Save Changes after you type.
If the client filled in a questionnaire or sent you an inquiry, you’ll also see Client Details (from questionnaire) and Job Inquiry (from client), holding what they told you.
Changing a Job’s Address
You can change the address at any point, including after the contract is signed and work has started.
Open the job and stay on the Overview tab.
Under Project Info, click into the Address field and type the new address.
Pick the matching suggestion from the list.
There’s no Save button for the address. It saves as soon as you pick a suggestion, or when you click away from the field.
A couple of other ways to do the same thing:
Ask AI. Click Ask AI next to the Project ID and say something like “change the address to 14 Oak Street, Springfield.” It shows you the change to approve before saving it.
The Eano Pro mobile app. On the job, tap the ••• menu, choose Edit Project Info, tap Project Address to pick the location on the map, and tap Save Changes.
Field workers can’t change a job’s address. Ask an Owner, Admin, or whoever runs the job.
Keep in mind that the client’s own address is a separate thing. It lives on the client’s contact details, not here.
Job Access
Below Project Info, Job Access shows everyone connected to the job:
Clients. Each client on the job, with their phone number and email. The Primary Contact is marked with a star. Use the Add more clients… box to add another, for example a spouse or a bookkeeper who pays the invoices.
Internal Users. The team members assigned to the job, with their roles.
Vendors. Subcontractors and vendors on the job.
Adding someone here gives them access to this job only. To change a team member’s or vendor’s own contact details, go to People > My Team and open their profile.
Activity
The middle column is a running history of the job: status changes, payments, daily logs, milestone updates, and more, each with who did it and when. Use Filters to narrow it down to one kind of activity, like Daily Log, Finance, Project Status, Milestone Update, Internal Notes, Contract, Selection, or Expense.
This Week
The right-hand column shows what’s due this week. Milestones lists the payment milestones scheduled for the week, with All Milestones to see the rest, and Tasks does the same for tasks, with All Tasks.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I change the address on a project that’s already signed? On the Overview tab, edit the Address field under Project Info and pick the new address from the suggestions. It saves on its own. Signing the contract doesn’t lock it.
I typed a new address but nothing happened. Pick one of the suggestions that appear as you type, or click somewhere else on the page. Either one saves it. There’s no Save button for this field.
The address field is greyed out. Field workers can’t edit a job’s address. Ask an Owner or Admin on your team to change it, or to change your role if you need to do it yourself.
Where do I add a second client, like a spouse or a bookkeeper? In Job Access, type their name, phone, or email into Add more clients…. Adding them doesn’t change who the Primary Contact is.
