Client budgets and priorities change — especially during proposal review.

With Client-Selectable Subprojects in Eano Pro, you can present optional scopes upfront and let your client decide what to move forward with, without rewriting proposals or manually adjusting contracts later.

Once the client makes their selections and signs:

  • The proposal updates automatically

  • The contract reflects only the approved work

  • The project scope and milestones update to match

This keeps everyone aligned and prevents scope confusion after signing.

Key Benefits

Using client-selectable subprojects helps you:

  • Avoid rewriting proposals when clients want options

  • Present multiple scopes clearly (must-haves vs nice-to-haves)

  • Let clients decide based on budget or priority

  • Lock in an accurate scope automatically once signed

  • Reduce back-and-forth before contract approval

You stay in control of what’s offered.

Your client stays in control of what they approve.

How to Mark Subprojects as Client-Selectable

Follow these steps when preparing a proposal.

Step 1: Create or Edit an Estimate/Scope

  • Open or Create a New Opportunity

  • Add your subprojects as you normally would, to have multiple options for selection

Step 2: Mark Subprojects as Client-Selectable

  • For each subproject you want the client to choose from:

    • Enable the Client-Selectable toggle option

  • Leave required scopes unselected if they must be included

💡 Tip:

Use client-selectable subprojects for optional work, alternates, or phased items.

Step 3: Preview the Client Experience

  • Preview the proposal as a client

  • Confirm:

    • Optional scopes are selectable

    • Required scopes are fixed

    • Pricing updates correctly

Step 4: Send the Proposal

  • Send the proposal to your client as usual

  • In the client portal, they will:

    • Select which subprojects they want

    • Review the updated total

    • Sign the proposal

What Happens After the Client Signs

Once the client submits their selections and signs:

  • ✅ The proposal updates to include only approved subprojects

  • ✅ The contract reflects the final, approved scope

  • ✅ The project scope updates automatically

  • ✅ The milestones adjust based on the approved amount

No manual edits. No mismatched scope. No follow-up corrections.

When to Use This Feature

This feature is especially helpful when:

  • A client wants part of a project now, not everything

  • You’re offering optional upgrades or add-ons

  • Budget is undecided but the client wants to move forward

  • You want to avoid creating multiple versions of the same proposal

Important Notes

  • You control which subprojects are selectable

  • Clients cannot edit pricing or scope details

  • This feature is available on Pro plans and above
