Eano Pro has improved how subcontracts are created and managed, with clearer agreement options that match how contractors work in the real world.

Instead of treating every external agreement the same way, you can now choose the agreement type that best represents the work being done.

Choosing the Right Agreement Type

When creating a subcontract, you’ll now be asked to choose what kind of agreement it represents. This helps keep labor, scope-based work, and material purchases clearly separated.

Subcontract

Used for a one-time agreement where a subcontractor is hired to complete a defined scope of work on a specific project.

Example: hiring an electrician for a single remodel.

Work Order

Used when work is performed under an existing Master Service Agreement (MSA). This is typically how ongoing labor, hours, or tasks are issued to an external vendor.

Example: assigning recurring work to a painting crew you already have an agreement with.

Purchase Order

Used to request or procure materials or bid items, rather than labor.

Example: ordering countertops, cabinets, or fabricated components.

By separating these agreement types, Eano Pro removes the guesswork and avoids forcing everything into a single “work order” category.

Additional Improvements to Subcontractor Management

Along with clearer agreement types, we’ve also simplified how subcontractors and vendors are set up and organized.

Easier Partner Setup

Adding subcontractors is now less restrictive:

  • Only basic contact information is required upfront

  • License types can be assigned accurately (electrical, plumbing, etc.)

  • Master Service Agreements can be attached when applicable, but are optional

This allows you to add partners quickly, even if all details aren’t finalized yet.

Cleaner Service Area Organization

Service areas have been refined to improve accuracy and consistency:

  • Subcontractors can be organized by where they actually work

  • Coverage areas are cleaner and easier to manage

  • Duplicate or unclear locations are reduced

This makes it easier to select the right subcontractor as your partner list grows.
