We’ve streamlined how scope templates work on the web platform to make your estimating process more predictable and efficient.

✅ What’s New

  • All users now start in the full-feature scope mode by default—even if they haven’t created a Cost Book.
No more automatic switching between “simple” and “detailed” estimate modes.

  • You can now mix simple and detailed lines in a single template without needing to switch modes.

🔍 What This Means for You

  • Greater clarity when creating or editing templates.

  • Consistent behavior across all estimate types.

  • You can still enter a flat total price if you prefer, but it will now live inside the same flexible framework used for detailed line items.

🛠️ How to Use It

  1. Go to Scope Templates and/or Project Scope Templates under your project or admin dashboard.

  2. Create or edit a template as usual.

  3. Add either:

    • Simple pricing lines (just one total)

    • Detailed breakdowns (labor, materials, etc.)

    • Or a mix of both—all within the same mode.

  4. Save the template for reuse across future jobs.

👷 Why This Matters

  • Easier for admins to standardize templates for teams.

  • Flexible enough for contractors to build job-specific templates.

  • Reduces errors and confusion when toggling between template types.
